Supporting Women in Film

RBC has been a proud sponsor of TIFF for the past 12 years in support of emerging filmmakers. This year, the ask was to promote RBC’s support specifically for women in film – a spot that celebrated that support and would play before movie screenings at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Inspired by documentaries that celebrate real human heroes and their amazing accomplishments, we decided to create a trailer for a documentary that didn’t exist. Given the hardships and hard work that female filmmakers have been forced to endure, this felt like an exceptionally appropriate way to recognize them and the support RBC gives female filmmakers.

Working with a predominantly female crew, we created a movie trailer for a story about dedication and struggle that was not just a trailer for a film, but a trailer for the future of the film industry.
